When I ask that question in my mentorship, as we start to map out a business plan, I hear the same answers every time:

But the belief that you need, the mindset mastery that’s critical to get out of your own way to truly scale it, takes a whole other level. And, without help, not everybody has got that in them.
Because, fundamentally, we struggle to believe that this level of success is possible for us.
It’s for others, it’s not available to us.
We think: even if I learn all these skills and get this knowledge, a multi-million pound portfolio is completely out of reach for me. It’s ridiculous even to think it possible. I’m not a property millionaire. The people that achieve that level of success are different, somehow.
I don’t have any funding. I can’t take the kind of risks they must have taken.
I’ve got a family to think of. I can’t play the big game.
And yet I can assure you: having belief in yourself is the hardest and yet most critical differentiator between those that fly and those that fail. Every time.
Now, my favourite part of helping new SA businesses to fly, is the life-changing impact it has on their lives. Just like it did on mine.
And, whilst I was in the hot tub, I was thinking on how I could leverage that impact. Scale it up. Change more people’s lives.
I thought: How can I leverage my success to help more people get their own life-changing transformation. How can I help them achieve the freedom I enjoy. How can I help them get there faster.
And I thought about all the fakery and the jazz hands in this industry. The pseudo-property millionaires luring people into their cult-like factions. The lack of integrity. The flawed (sometimes dangerous!) advice. The fact that, well, there’s just a lot of bullshit out there.
And then I thought:
What if I show up as me, a straight-talking, call-a-spade-a-spade Northerner and dished out honest, real, warts and all, the good, the bad and the ugly advice; the inside-track on what it takes to build and scale toward an 8 figure SA business.
The learnings and insights would be immense!
And what if I reallllly focused on helping people with that BIG underlying problem I mentioned earlier; belief. And helped them shift gears so that they could finally see their path toward success and understand the mindset shifts needed to get there.
And then what if, just for shits and giggles, I did a Tub Talks show, where I interview an expert in the industry, in the hot tub every month, then do a 2 hour Q&A to dig deep into solving real-world challenges around scaling an SA business.
And then (the hot tub idea really got me into the flow) what if we created a community of like-minded investors, who shared our values and who helped and supported each other.
